Order Puller AssociateThe Order Puller Associate will stock incoming merchandise and fill orders for customers. At AFW, we are proud that customers can pick up their furniture and take it home the same day. You will be a critical part of fulfilling that promise to the customer.The Order Puller will safely operate a Stock Picker, Reach Truck, Sit Down Forklift, and any other equipment necessary to transport merchandise for customers and other departments. We provide full training and certifications for all equipment.Typical duties include but are not limited to:Operating material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse.Operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner.Capacity to effectively work independently of direct supervision.Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Correctly use a hand truck.Other duties to be assigned/directed by supervisor.All training will be provided by AFW.This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesJob RequirementsPrevious experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker preferred - but not required.Commitment to safetyKnowledge of the correct lifting/team lifting techniques.Capability to perform the correct lifting/team lifting techniques.You have to work at heights! You will fill orders 0 to 35 feet above the ground.Ability to work in multiple departments.
