Quality Assurance Specialist

Business Consultants at Experience Level 1 are Consultants that can demonstrate in their submitted examples that they have led multi-discipline teams in business transformation initiatives to align business systems with new business processes, using application portfolio management techniques, and have provided and followed a plan to transfer the business from the 'as is' structure to the 'to be' structure, where they reported to executive level managers, and had managers and senior technical and business staff assigned to the project under their direction. Business Consultants at Experience Level 1 have the skill sets of Business Consultants at Experience Level 2 as well as experience and expertise in applying business transformation methodologies, including operations research and business process re-engineering. Because of the far-reaching effect of implementing business process re-engineering project recommendations, Business Consultants at Experience Level 1 are experienced in effectively communicating with executives and senior management on changes to business operations. The Business Consultant Level 1 is a quality assurance specialist that can demonstrate in their submitted examples that they have successfully conducted functional application testing in complex projects with respect to:

• Creation and execution of system integration test scenarios and scripts,
• Development and execution of test scenarios and scripts that may include:
  • functional testing
  • application testing
  • security testing
  • integration
  • end-to-end testing
  • performance testing
  • remediation and re-testing
  • accessibility testing
  • load / stress testing
  • volume testing
  • regression testing, and
  • automated testing.

In addition to the skills and experience set out above, the Proponents must demonstrate that the proposed Consultant have the following additional skills and experience:

1. A degree relevant to the applicable Service Category and a minimum of 4 years of related Service Category experience; or
2. A diploma relevant to the applicable Service Category and a minimum of 5 years of related Service Category experience; or
3. A certificate relevant to the applicable Service Category and a minimum of 6 years of related Service Category experience; or
4. A minimum of 8 years of experience directly related to the applicable Service Category.

Proponents must also demonstrate that the proposed Consultant have the following additional skills and experience in all or most of the following technology tools:

• Jira
• Confluence
• Zephyr, and
• working with the OpenShift Container Platform.

Approach and Methodology Proponents should describe their general approach to addressing the following:

• Test scenarios and scripts for system integration;
• Development and execution of test scenarios and scripts;
• Manual testing;
• Automated testing;
• Development of test documents; and
• Creating and orchestrating test scripts using Zephyr.

Public Sector Working Experience Proponents should visibly demonstrate experience working in a public sector (e.g., core federal or provincial government, crown corporations, or agencies) environment. In evaluation, particular emphasis will be placed on:

• Experience working with similar BC Government core policy, compliance, and standards; and
• Experience working with similar BC Government infrastructure hosting.

The Contractor will consult with Ministry of Education and Child Care and:

• Attend scrums, daily meetings, and any other meetings as requested by the Ministry;
• Work in an agile environment;

Program, test, and otherwise support the development and maintenance of systems by conducting:

1. Manual testing
2. Automated testing
3. Development of documentation of test cases
4. Creating and orchestrating test scripts using Zephyr
